Great Antique Koto O-Tanto Muromachi period (last years of the 16th Century) in high grade quality Koshirae and old Shirasaya.

Uda school originated in Yamato province and was founded by Kunimitsu. Yamato 大和国 was a province of Japan, located in Kinai, corresponding to present-day Nara Prefecture in Honshū.


Shirasaya:

Same: quality coarse-grained native ray skin

Tsuka-ito (Ito): Natural Japanese silk

 

Fuchi/Kashira:

Shakudo (cooper and gold alloy) patination rokusho. "Chrysanthemum" carved. The kashira as the Fuchi are each two separate parts that together form the piece. Rare and unusual shape of great quality.

Menukis: Fine antique Japanese handiwork "boar"

Kurikata: Buffalo horn

Shitodome couple: Gold

Sageo: Genuine natural Japanese silk braided

 

Shirasaya Bukuro (cloth bag): fabric silk

Koshirae Bukuro:

Great quality Bukuro (Tanto Koshirae bag) modern Japanese light white fabric silk with embroidery thread gold yellow. Inner lining fabric. Fusa himo (tassel and cord) yellow colour also Japanese work. Both is included but the Katanakake (Katana stand) it is not included.
